NATURE OF LINNANSAARI NATIONAL PARK
The beautiful lake scenery of Haukivesi ranges from maze-like archipelagos to wide open waters. Linnansaari National Park stretches 40 km in length and 5–10 km in width, encompassing over 130 islands and hundreds of smaller islets and skerries. Originally, the core areas were preserved for their natural beauty, and the park itself was later established to protect Finland’s original lake nature for future generations and scientific research.
