🚍 Travel to Järvisydän by Public Transport – Easy and Effortless!
Getting to Järvisydän by public transport will become significantly easier starting June 1, 2025, when a direct bus route to Järvisydän will be launched. Tickets for the route can be purchased through Matkahuolto’s service no later than two days before departure.
The new route from Hiismäki via the village of Rantasalmi to Järvisydän offers a smooth connection for both locals and visitors. The route connects with other bus services via a transfer in Hiismäki. Tickets are purchased as usual through Matkahuolto, where Järvisydän is now listed as a destination. There will be an average of three departures and arrivals per day.
Improving accessibility is part of Järvisydän’s sustainable development efforts. We also want to respond to our customers’ wishes to reach Järvisydän using public transport. We warmly welcome the new route and are thrilled that our guests can now reach us directly by public transport – with just one ticket and one reservation!
The new route is implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Rantasalmi, and in addition to Järvisydän, there will also be a stop in Rantasalmi town center. The route brings significant added value not only to tourists but also to local residents, who can now take advantage of the direct connection for both leisure and errands. The service enhances regional accessibility and supports sustainable mobility. The first pilot phase will run until the end of 2025.
